MAINTAINING YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

It requires more than just visiting the hair salon every few weeks to maintain your hair extensions. This is especially if you want to get the most out of your extensions.

For the fact that our extensions are made of 100% Remy Human Hair, most of our systems can be reused up to three times if well taken care of.

At the advent of any physical activity (pool, beach, gym, biking, etc.), secure your hair in a braid or under a cap. Be sure to wash hair very well soon after to remove any chemicals, sweat, or residue. It is the best practice to never leave your hair wet after a workout for any prolonged length of time. Moisture left over time sips into the extension, which isn’t too good.

Brushing your hair extensions from bottom to mid-shaft and untangling it with our Boar bristle brush guarantees longevity for the hair. The heat-resistant quality of the hair makes it possible for you to brush, detangle, style, or even blow-dry the hair. Secure your hair with one hand when broaching to avoid excessive pressure on the roots.

Brush well before wetting your hair (always begin from the ends). After washing the hair, with your fingers, gently apply the shampoo to the root area, lightly massage between the tape in/bonds, parting them well to do away with any residue and oils. Rinse out. Do not scrub your hair vigorously as tangling may occur. This shampooing should be done using Milbon Sulfate and Protein-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Shampoo at most, three times a week. After shampooing, you can then apply the conditioner from mid-length to ends. Never condition at the root area. For deeper conditioning, condition the hair for a little longer or use a hydrating treatment once a week. Do not go to bed with wet hair, as it results in tangling and knotting. It is also advisable to braid your hair loosely before going to sleep.

The hair should be allowed to hair dry for about 10 minutes after getting out of the shower. Afterward, apply a heat protecting spray before blow-drying. If possible, you can air-dry altogether (it is better to use less heat as possible on your extensions). For better results, run some serum throughout your hair and avoid the bonds while at it. To avoid tangles and matting, Always put your hair in a ponytail or loose braid before going to sleep.

WHAT NOT TO DO

  • Shampooing your hair less than 48 hours after fixing of the extension.
