What Is I-Tip Extensions?
Also called: Micro-bead extensions, Micro-link extensions, Cold fusion
I-tip extensions are individual strands clamped to your natural hair with tiny silicone-lined beads — no heat, no glue, and gentle on fine hair.
I-tip extensions are individual strands of hair finished with a slim metal-and-keratin tip shaped like the letter "I." A stylist threads a small section of your natural hair and the I-tip through a tiny silicone-lined bead, then clamps the bead flat to hold both in place. No heat, adhesive, or chemicals touch your hair — which is why the method is sometimes called cold fusion.
Like K-tips, I-tips attach strand by strand for natural movement and full styling freedom, and wear for around 3–4 months. The advantage is adjustability: because the beads clamp mechanically, they can be repositioned at maintenance visits rather than requiring a full bond replacement, and removal is gentle — the bead is simply unclamped.
