- Hands first, hair second — warm a small amount in your palms before it touches your strands.
- Mid-length to ends for finishing products (oils, polishing). Roots-first for lift and prep products.
- Build up if needed. Re-applying is easy; correcting overdone is not.
- Heat protectants go on damp hair before any tool touches it — no shortcuts on this one.
