- Wet hair completely. Cool-to-warm water, never hot — heat opens cuticles and roughs up the cleanse.
- Quarter-size in your palm. Massage in at the scalp first, working out toward the ends.
- Let it sit for 60 seconds. The active ingredients need contact time — most people rinse too fast.
- Rinse cool. Cool water seals the cuticle and locks in the conditioning that’s coming next.
- Two washes if you’ve got product buildup. The first cleanses, the second feeds.
