By 2002, Crystal had moved from American Hair Force to Salon Static and was picking up freelance production work — including a one-day American Idol Season 1 Las Vegas styling event after the season’s winner was announced. During Season 1, she also assisted on the Kelly Clarkson styling team. She was 20 years old.
